Eighteen Australian travel and tour operators were in Sri Lanka on a 10-day familiarisation tour hosted by the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB). The tour covered key tourism areas from Negombo, Habarana, Trincomalee, Kandy, Dambulla, Mirissa, Ahungalle to Colombo. The agents impressed with the sites, scenery and the hospitality in the island and were keen to promote Sri Lanka tourism on their return, the SLTPB said in a release.
