Paradise isle consists of immense natural resources
Wildlife, flora fauna and surrounding forests
Empowering the living with colossal gains
Which they enjoyed without any pains
All Sri Lankans owe the peaceful civilization
To her calm and quiet wonderful inspiration
Sinhala, Tamil, Muslim all beings here and above
All brethren included in her bosom with lots of love
They all have made a significant contribution
To glamour, prosperity and education
When looking back into foreign dominated history
It is communal unity that led to their victory
Love and unity will take you very far and uphill
Neglect any one particular Sri Lankan, she never will
All will be treated equally with loving care
With great devotion if she is not hurt anywhere
It is very sad and rather unfortunate
That Lanka has suffered a tragedy great
Worthy, innocent lives were sacrificed in vain
By which nobody stands to gain
Petty differences bring about national decline
Unity, peace and harmony should be the day’s headline
Within the bounds of our beautiful isle tomorrow
Let there be goodwill and friendship sans misery and sorrow
