Seminar on tax changes in the ICT sphere

Federation of Information Technology Industry Sri Lanka (FITIS) has organised a seminar in association with BDO on ‘Keeping pace with Tax Changes for the ICT Sphere’ on Monday, August 5 from 2-5 p.m. at the CIMA auditorium, Colombo 5.

The seminar will focus on taxation particularly reference to the ICT companies and startups given in the current tax systems. The Inland Revenue Act No. 24 of 2017 has introduced significant changes to the fundamentals of taxation with a specific focus on the ICT products and services. The seminar will also cover the indirect tax may be of interest to the industry and its stakeholders.

Tax Partner, BDO, Sarah Akher will be the resource person. She has extensive experience in the field of taxation including direct and indirect tax compliance, tax advisory, revenue authority assistance and handling tax appeals, tax planning and structuring for investments, mergers and acquisition, due diligences, research and development, transfer pricing, trade and customs taxes and advisory on exchange control regulations.
