The second Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Galle Club, a Past Pupils’ Association from six schools in Galle, was held at the Mövenpick Hotel, Colombo recently. The Galle Club consists of past pupils of St. Aloysius College, Richmond College, Mahinda College, Southlands College, Sanghamitta Balika Vidyalaya and Sacred Heard Convent. The 2018 EXCO was unanimously re-appointed for 2019-2020. The board comprises President Dilith Jayaweera; Secretary Nilmini Ferdinando; and Treasurer Janakie Wijethilake. Sujeewa Rajapakse, D. N. Thilakumara, Prof. Janitha Liyanage, Sasima Pinidiya and Hasanka Witharana were re-appointed Vice Presidents. Chanura Wijethilake (Secretary elect), Sagara Gunawardena (Treasurer elect), Surani Maharage (Editor) and Venya Ranasinghe (Editor elect) are other office bearers. The committee members include Lani Gunaratne, D. Padmasiri, Nilmini Prasantha Abeywickrama De Silva, Dilani Sirimanna, Ananda Samarasinghe, Aruna Siriwardena, Shammi Wijetilleke, Jagath Pushpakumara and Tissa Gunawardena. The three newly elected committee members are Rosemarie Yatawara, Takura Gunasinghe and Damayanthi Samarasinghe.
