The inter province badminton championships conducted by the Western Province Badminton Association will be held on August 31 and September 1 at the Mercantile Badminton Stadium Colombo 07.
Last time Western Province emerged champions while Southern Province became the runner up and more entries from all provinces including the northern and eastern provinces are expected to pour in.
The events for men’s and women’s singles, doubles and mixed doubles will be conducted and only one player would be entitled to take part in one event. According to the organisers the winners will be entitled to receive trophies and prize money while accommodation and meals for outstation players will be available.
Entries will close on August 21 with Rajpal Salgado, Secretary Western Province Badminton Association, Salgado VIlla, 10 Sri Maha Vihara Road PO Box 1 Panadura (DR)
