A rural industry sales centre was opened at Addalaichenai in the Ampara district recently.
The chief guest Eastern Province Governor Shan Wijayalal de Silva opened the sales centre. The centre is operated by the Eastern Province Department of Rural Industries. Its Director Mrs. U. Kavitha presided over the function. The centre will enable local industrialists to market their products, she said.
Parliamentarian A.L.M. Nazeer, Eastern Province Chief Ministry’s Secretary U.L.A. Azees, Addalaichenai Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman A.L. Amanullah, local politicians, Departmental Heads, high ranking government officials and rural industrialists were also present.
