‘TVS Cup, a grand success’

TVS, an automobile brand, was the title sponsor of the recently concluded Bangladesh tour of Sri Lanka. Aptly named the TVS Cup, the tournament was a significant one for both cricket fans and the Sri Lankan cricket team.

Chief Executive Officer of TVS Lanka, Ravi Liyanage said, “We were pleased to be the title sponsor of a series that allowed our cricketing heroes to step back into their innate winning spirit. The passionate response from fans that we witnessed was a silent testament to how important the series was to them. They were able to watch their team take on Bangladesh on home soil and emerge victorious.”

Head of Marketing and New Business, Ushan Wijewardena said, “Parallel to the TVS Cup unveiling, the Company carried out a series of activities targeted at numerous stakeholders of the Company. TVS announced the ‘TVS cup down payment scheme’ to allow Sri Lankan youth to purchase two wheelers from a wide range of choices on offer.

“The Company reached out to channel partners and well-wishers with free tickets to the matches. Numerous winners of media events won coveted TVS motor cycles during the tournament while spectators at each venue received complimentary gifts from the Company. TVS Cup was an opportune platform for the Sri Lankan cricket team to recapture their winning spirit,” he said.

TVS, a brand that enjoys a presence in over 60 countries stepped in at the right time to sponsor a cricket tournament in Sri Lanka.

TVS Cup enabled the Sri Lankan team to regain their momentum and allowed the younger generation to illustrate their talent.
