Ceylinco Life’s Negombo Branch to go green

18 August, 2019

Ceylinco Life has begun work on a substantial expansion of the Company’s branch in Negombo, which will, on completion, add more space and facilities and convert the entire complex into an eco-friendly operation.

The existing building will be transformed in to a purpose-designed five storey edifice that complies with life insurance leader’s ‘Green Agenda’ to promote use of sustainable energy and conserve resources.

The expansion will add 7,950 sq. ft. of space, an elevator and a new customer lounge, and the building will be entirely powered by solar energy, reducing consumption of electricity from the national power grid. A rainwater harvesting facility will allow the building to become more self-sufficient and environment-friendly, the Company said.

The expansion will facilitate the addition of nine new sales regions to the eight sales regions served by the existing building. The building will also be equipped with a new training facility that can accommodate 100 people and enhance its functionality as a nucleus for Ceylinco Life operations in the area.

All new buildings on land owned by Ceylinco Life are designed and built to an eco-friendly model.
