DS Senanayake College, Colombo entered the quarter finals of the Singer under-15 cricket tourney and one player who stood out was batsman Chenul Pinsara who made five half tons to aggregate a total of 315 runs for an average of 78.75.
One of his half centuries came against the elite St. Peter’s College team and out of the five innings Pinsara was unbeaten on four occasions which too can be considered as an achievement for a young cricketer of this age.
His five half tons came against St. Peter’s College (51 not out), Sri Palee (51), CWW Kannnangara (52 not out), St. Aloysius College, Ratnapura (55 not out) and Sri Chandrasekera MV, Moratuwa (57 not out).
