CEAT racers steal the thunder at Super Cross

The CEAT Racing Team produced a champion show at last Sunday’s Gajaba Super Cross in Saliyapura, Anuradhapura where their ace riders Jacques Gunawardena and Evon Gurusinghe won first and second places in four races while Gunawardena was declared the champion rider.

CEAT’s racing driver Ushan Perera was placed second and third respectively in two events for SL GT Cars upto 3500cc (Super Car) races while team mate Malika Kuruwitaarachchi won the Subaru Legacy event.

In all the CEAT Racing Team accounted for nine podium finishes at the meet.

The 2019 CEAT Racing Team comprises drivers Upulwan Serasinghe, Ushan Perera, Malika Kuruwitaarachchi, Devin Serasinghe, Chamod Perera, Col. Duminda Jayasinghe, Col. Indu Samarakone and Chamod Samarakone along with riders Evon Gurusinghe and Jacques Gunawardena.

CEAT is also the title sponsor of the CEAT SLADA 2019 Championship,which will be decided on five races conducted by SLADA in the course of the year. The races are the Gajaba Super Cross, Gunners Super Cross, Sigiriya Rally Cross, Katukurunda Motor Cross and Fox Hill Super Cross.

The Fox Hill meet is managed by the Ministry of Sports with the participation of all motor racing clubs.
