A promising junior cricketer, Santhul Wijeyeratne, displayed some rare talent at the annual cricket competition organized by the Sanath Jayasuriya Cricket Foundation by taking four wickets in four consecutive balls in a match with his right arm off-spinners at the CCC ground in Colombo.
Wijeyeratne, a student of Nalanda College, also excelled in batting during the entire competition and won the award for the Best Player in the under-10 group as well.
Last year he scored a century against the CCC Cricket Academy and became the youngest player to have hit a century for the Jayasuriya Academy.
Players between the ages of 8 and 15 contested the tournament that was graced by Sanath Jayasuriya himself along with several former Sri Lanka players.
