Bangladesh ‘A’ take lead

A century by Mominul Haque saw Bangladesh ‘A’ team take a slender lead of 15 runs with four wickets intact in their second unofficial Test match against Sri Lanka ‘A’ at the end of day two being played at the Sooriyawewa Stadium in Hambantota yesterday.

Sri Lanka ‘A’ scored 268 runs in their first innings. Mehidy did the damage claiming seven wickets for 84 runs.

Bangladesh ‘A’ were on 283 runs for six wickets at the close.

Mominul Haque scored 117 runs with 15 hits to the ropes and one over it. Shadman Islam scored 77 runs with eight boundaries and a six. This pair also put on a mammoth 154 runs partnership for the third wicket.
