Sri Lanka women thrashed again

6 October, 2019

Sri Lanka’s beleaguered women’s cricket team suffered yet another thrashing at the hands of Australia in their first ODI match at the Alan Border Field in Brisbane yesterday.

The match was terribly one-sided as Australia made 281 for 8 in the allotted 50 overs and then bundled out Sri Lanka for 124.

Sri Lanka are taking on Australia in a three-match ODI series after losing a T20 series 3-0.

Australia women 281 (Rachael Haynes 56, Meg Lanning 73, Beth Mooney 66)

Sri Lanka 124 in 41.3 overs (Shashikala Siriwardena 30)
