The final report of the Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC) which probed the Easter Sunday attacks will be presented in Parliament on October 23.
The Chairman of the Committee Deputy Speaker Ananda Kumarasiri said the report would include the reasons for the attacks and make recommendations to prevent its recurrence in the future. He said the Committee is scheduled to convene on October 17 to prepare its final report. After presenting the final report on October 23, a press conference will be held on October 24 to brief the media on the contents of the report.
Speaker Karu Jayasuriya appointed the PSC on May 22 to investigate the multiple terrorist attacks on churches and hotels at several locations across the country on Easter Sunday and report to Parliament.
