Bishop’s College crowned tennis champions

Bishop’s College won the all-island U-19 tennis championship that concluded on October 4 at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association (SLTA) courts in Colombo.

The team began their conquest by winning against Holy family Convent and Methodist College while losing just one match each. The Bishopians met Visakha Vidyalaya in the semi-finals and won the first Singles and the first and second Doubles against them and moving straight into the final played against Newstead College. On the final day, the high spirited Bishop’s girls team was ready to take their biggest challenge and won 3-1 marking their first triumph in 10 years.
