A full day workshop on Art was conducted for the recently recruited graduate teachers of the North Western Province, at the Wariyapola Teachers’ Training Centre.
The workshop was facilitated by the Art teacher of the Puttalam Zonal Education Centre, and artist - M.M.Muhammed. Around 80 graduate teachers participated in the workshop.
At this event the participants were taught how Art could be used to attract the students, the techniques used in Art and how to derive students’ attention to the teacher.
The facilitator explained how teachers could derive students’ attention, even though they are of different levels of mindset and make them concentrate in their studies.
The Director, Education Department, North Western Province and Education Director for Tamil Unit attended the event.
