SLPP complains to EC about state media

The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) today made a formal complaint to the National Elections Commission (NEC) accusing the Government of misusing state resources to gain votes.

The SLPP told NEC that state employees, public property and other state resources including vehicles are being used for election work by the United National Front.

SLPP members Dullas Alahapperuma, Susil Premajayantha and others who met NEC Chairman Mahinda Deshapriya yesterday, submitted a written complaint against the United National Front, accusing them of violating election laws and urged the National Elections Commission to take appropriate action.
