The third annual over-40 seven-a-side soccer Tturnament organized by Cooray Park SC will be held today (20) at Cooray Park, Wellawatte.
The tournament will commence at 8.00 am with the opening ceremony. The winners will be awarded the Athula Gunasinghe Memorial Trophy plus an award of Rs. 100,000 while the runners-up will receive Rs. 50,000 according to the organisers. Special awards on offer are for the best player of the tournament (Rs 10,000) and best goal keeper (Rs.10,000). In addition a raffle draw will be held with the aim of raising funds for the development of the Club according to the organsiers.
