Our planet Earth

10 November, 2019

The third planet in the solar system is the Earth, where we live. There is soil, water and air on the Earth. Therefore, living beings, such as humans, animals and plants can live on the Earth. The Earth consists of soil, sand, rocks, water and mountains. Soil is formed by the erosion of rocks. Earth has two types of movements. One movement is that it revolves around the Sun which takes a period of one year. The other movement is that it revolves on its own axis. It takes 24 hours for one rotation.

The ancient people began to think that the Earth is a flat disk; The Greek mathematician Pythagoras (600B.C) was the first person to announce the shape of the Earth to the world. According to his conclusion, the Earth is a spherical body. It was accepted and proved by others. The closest star to the Earth is the Sun. It is obvious that there is no other planet where living beings can live in our solar system. So it is important to protect the Earth with great care for it is our home and our mother.
