Curtain for election rallies falls on mid night Wednesday

The main political parties in the presidential race will wrap up their election rallies on Wednesday, the last day for candidates to hold campaign events as dictated by the elections law.

The final election rally of the New Democratic Front candidate Sajith Premadasa will be held near New Town Hall, Panchikawatte on November 13 evening, party sources said.

The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) candidate Gotabaya Rajapaksa will wrap up his election campaign with a rally in Homagama on the 13th evening. The party has lined up six rallies on Wednesday with a rally in Kesbewa before their final appearance in Homagama.

The National People’s Power (NPP) candidate Anura Kumara Dissanayake will hold his final rally in Maharagama on Wednesday at 3.30pm.
