The historical Ayyappan annual pilgrimage season begins today, November 17.
Around 40 million Ayyappan devotees throughout the world, including Sri Lankas will take part in the pilgrimage.
The All Ceylon Anantha Ayyappa Devsthanam at 478/67 Aluthmawatha Road, Colombo 15, has the same outlook as the Sabarimala in Kerala with 18 gold steps.
Renowned poet Dr. K.J. Yesudasan laid the foundation stone for this devasthanam in 2005 together with the late Peri Muthusamy, Trustee Raju Sivaram and other devotees.
According to the Trustee Board of the All Ceylon Ananda Ayyappa Devasthanam, all the Arraugman would climb steps on January 1, 12, 13 and July 14, 2020.
