The advanced level Commerce and Arts streams of Harischandra National School, Negombo donated dry rations for breakfast and essential drugs needed for cancer patients recently. The project was carried out on a concept of Harischandra National School's Principal Aruna Gunasiri with the objective of making the students understand how to live a healthy and zestful life assisting others in need. The students also remembered the three students of the school who lost their lives in the recent bomb explosion at Katuwapitiya Catholic Church.
The teachers and students of Arts and Commerce streams collected dry rations for breakfast while the hospital staff undertook the preparations.
Academic staff and students contributed towards the purchase of essential drugs and they were handed over to Apeksha Hospital Director, Dr. Wasantha Dissanayake at the hospital premises.
