St. Joseph’s College and Musaeus College were the best at the boys and girls Ritzbury John Tarbat junior athletics championships that concluded at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo yesterday.
The Joes secured 55 points ahead of their closest rivals Lyceum International School Wattala (46) and DS Senanayake College (42).
Musaeus had 52 points followed by Visakha Vidyalaya (31) and Our Lady of Victories Convent Moratuwa with 29 points. The best athlete in the boys category was De Mazenod College’s long jumper M Kaushan who produced a distance of 6.49 while Seneka Gunaratne from Colombo International School Kandy was the best from the girls.
She clocked 25.7 seconds in the 200 metres and was also the best in the 400 metres with a timing of 59.05
Royal College were the boys Relay champions while Musaeus were the girls Relay winners.
