Sri Lanka Tourism holds promotional event in UAE

The Sri Lanka Tourism Bureau (SLTPB) in collaboration with the Sri Lankan Embassy in Abu Dhabi organised a tourism promotion event titled ‘The Taste of Abu Dhabi’ at the du Arena, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, UAE recently.

The festival was opened by Secretary to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ravinatha Aryasinghe, Ambassador of Sri Lanka in Abu Dhabi, Majintha Jayesinghe, Director/ Ocean Affairs, Environment and Climate Change of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Dilani Weerakoon, Second Secretary, Embassy of Sri Lanka, Ms. Harsha Ruparathne, and Ms. Enoka Gayathri from SLTPB by lighting the oil lamp.

Taste of Abu Dhabi was a food-lover’s fantasy, with three days of Abu Dhabi’s latest, greatest and most exciting restaurants, world class chefs, an incredible line-up of music, tantalising fresh features and over 45 exhibitors.

A wide variety of authentic cuisine identical to each country or region was available at the event.

Authentic Sri Lankan food were served at the event which included coconut rotti with lunumiris, kiribath, isso wadai, kadala and egg rotti with seeni sambal.

A Sri Lankan dance troupe also performed at the event which the visitors enjoyed to their hearts content.
