Thomians win on first innings

S. Thomas’ College beat St Servatius College Matara on first innings in their Singer trophy inter school cricket encounter which concluded in Mount Lavinia yesterday.

In reply to 180 made by their opponents, the Thomians went on to make 207 for 6 from an overnight 13 for no loss when rain intervened to stop play for the rest of the second day.

The Thomian pair of Kishan Munasinghe and Dilmin Ratnayake made half centuries to swell the total.
