‘Uttanaweerya’ - art and craft exhibition - 2019 to showcase the skills and talent of differently-abled war heroes will be held on December 12-13 at the J.D.A. Perera Art Gallery of the Colombo Aesthetic University.
The work of the inmates of Abhimansala 1, 2, 3 and Mihindu Seth Medura will be on display.
The opening ceremony will be held at 6.30 p.m on December 12. It will be open for the public on December 13 from 9.00 a.m. to 8 p.m. Army Commander Lt. Gen. Shavendra Silva will grace the occasion as the chief guest along with senior officers and invitees.
Thirty-four wooden items,172 paintings, 203 hand crafted items, 15 sculptures and 23 other exhibits will be on display.
