Fourteen teams will battle it out for the CBL Munchee Trophy in the MCA ‘D’ division cricket tournament that commenced yesterday.
The 14 teams are divided into two groups and play on a league basis. The tournament will conclude on January 26 and the knock-out stage will begin on February 1 with the final to be played on February 15.
The matches will be played at DS Senanayake ground, Panagoda, Mattegoda, Kotahena, Darley Road, Central College Veyangoda, Campbell Park, NSCA ground and the MCA ground.
The teams:
Group ‘A’ - Colombo Dockyard, Nawaloka Hospitals, MAS Bodyline, Maliban Biscuits, Airport & Aviation Services, Hirdaramani Group and Mode Engineering.
Group ‘B’: Hemas Group, David Pieris Motor, Ansell Lanka, NDB Bank, Delmage Group, Central Finance & Melwire Rolling.
