President, Gotabaya Rajapaksa recently appointed a new Chairman and a Deputy to the National Child Protection Authority (NCPA)
Prof. Muditha Vidanapathirana was appointed as the ninth Chairman of the NCPA. A professor at the Faculty of Forensic Science, Sri Jayawardenepura University, and a leading Forensic Science specialist Prof. Vidanapathirana has conducted many forensic examinations in leading and controversial murders in the country. He is an old boy of Ananda College.
Retired High Court Judge , Attorney-at – Law Sujatha Alahapperuma was appointed as the Deputy Chairperson. She is an old girl of St. Mary’s Convent, Matara.The Chairman and Deputy Chairperson assumed duties at the NCPA last week.
