Soundararajah Baluraj of Natpiddimunai in the Ampara district secured a bronze medal in the Karate event at the 13th South Asian Games in Nepal recently, was felicitated by Natpiddimunai.
Soundararajah Baluraj brought honour to Natpiddimunai area, Ampara district and was welcomed by the residents of Natpiddimunai.
He was taken in a mammoth procession on the streets of Natpiddimunai where he received garlands and boutiques before he was honoured with the golden shawl and memento by the residents at the market square.
Retired Principal M.L.A.Kaiyoom, Kalmunai Educational Zone Physical Education Coach Society President S.L.Jameen, Sports Coaches, Traders, Players and many others participated on this occasion.
