The MCA Premier League the T/20 championship will resume after a break on January 22. Six matches were completed before the tournament was halted on December 4, 2019 and two games were washed out without a ball being bowled. Group ‘A’ which has four teams is still wide open with Hayleys topping the group with six points, followed by LBF (4 points), MAS Unichela and John Keells (2 points)
Group ‘B’ consisting three teams has found its semi-finalists with Dimo and SLC Emerging Team qualifying with four points each. The third team, Sampath Bank is out of contention.
The new schedule:
January 22 at MCA: J. Keells vs Hayleys (morning)
January 23 at MCA: LBF vs MAS Unichela (morning)
SLC Emerging Team vs Dimo (afternoon)
At the end of the League stage the first two teams of each group will advance to the semi–finals.
The semi-finals will be played on Friday, January 24 at MCA and P. Sara Oval and the final on January 25 at MCA.
