Sixteen teams advanced to the pre-quarter final round of the ‘Singer Trophy’ Under-13 Division One inter-school cricket tournament.
A total of 79 teams played the first round on a league basis in ten groups. The second round saw 40 teams divided into eight groups and the champions and runners-up teams from these groups qualified to the pre-quarter final round.
The semi-finals will be played on a league basis and the team with the highest number of points will be the champions.
Royal College were last year’s champions and St. Anthony’s Kandy were the runners-up.
