BOC SmartRemit provincial raffle draw concludes

Encouraging Sri Lankan expatriates to remit their hard earned money, securely back to their families while assisting to improve the country’s foreign remittance inflow, Bank of Ceylon’s (BOC) ‘Pita Pita Rata Thegi’ raffle draw was held at the Bank’s Head Office recently, to give away prizes at its provincial draw.

Winners of this raffle draw were presented ten scooters and 50 gift vouchers each worth Rs. 50,000 at the province level draw. The event was held under the patronage of the Bank’s CEO/General Manager Senarath Bandara amidst a gathering of the bank’s corporate and executive management, other officials and invitees.

The event was organised by the Bank’s International Division, headed by the Senior Deputy General Manager International, Treasury and Investment, Sugath Gunasekera. Winners for the ‘Pita Pita Rata Thegi 2’ Provincial draw were chosen among customers who have remitted funds at least on three occasions from September 1 to December 31, 2019. The islandwide grand draw (the final draw) will consider customers who have sent a minimum of five inward remittances from September 1, 2019 to March 31, 2020. In the Grand Draw, the bank will offer a ‘Toyota Wigo’ as the first prize and 50 ‘Gift vouchers’ each worth Rs. 50,000.

Through promotions of this nature, the Bank aims to promote inward remittances to be received through a proper fund transfer channels, which is secured, reliable and assists growth of the national economy.
