SLTPB conducts Ramayan training program

The Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) will hold the International Ramayan Festival 2020 in Sri Lanka.

The SLTPB organised a training program at the auditorium of the Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management (SLITHM) recently for local travel trade targeting the upcoming festival.

The purpose of the training program was to improve the knowledge of the Ramayana Trail among the tour operators and tour guides who connect with Ramayana tours to Sri Lanka.

It was conducted by former Director General of the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority, S. Kalesilvam (founder of Ramayana Yathra in Sri Lanka and a visiting lecturer at SLITHM).

Over 94 travel agents from 47 travel agencies in the local travel trade showed interest in promoting this tourism segment.
