Ibbagamuwa Central College, Loyola College Negombo, Nalanda Boys School Minuwangoda and Vidyaloka College Galle advanced to the quarter finals of the ‘Singer Trophy’ Under 19 Division III Level One inter school cricket (2 days) tournament which is currently being put on hold.
Ibbagamuwa Central College won on first inning against Methodist High School Moratuwa and Loyola College Negombo won on first inning against Maliyadeva Model School Kurunegala in the pre quarter finals.
Vidyaloka College beat Ananda Maithriya National School Balangoda by an innings and 24 runs and Nalanda Boys School Minuwangoda beat St. Mary’s College Matugama by nine wickets in the pre quarter finals.
Prabuddha Premalal of Ibbagamuwa Central College passed the 1000 runs milestone this season with a double century and a century. He scored an unbeaten 204 runs against Azhar College Akurana and made 151 against CWW Kannangara Central College Matugama along with seven half centuries.
Hashen Lalindra scored 147 with 15 boundaries and seven sixes against Maliyadeva Model School Kurunegala and claimed eight wickets in the match.
Salindu Malmina of Nalanda Boys School Minuwangoda also passed 1000 runs this season with three centuries and four half centuries. He scored 90 against St. Mary’s College Matugama.
