Rupee depreciates to Rs 200.46

The Sri Lankan rupee has further depreciated to Rs 200.46 against the US dollar. Meanwhile, the buying rate of the US Dollar has risen to Rs 193.95.
 
This is the first time in Sri Lanka that the selling rate of a US dollar has exceeded Rs 200.
 
As per the exchange rates recorded by the CBSL the selling price of the rupee stood at Rs. 199.40 while the buying price stood at Rs.188.55 against the US dollar.
