Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Ministry will introduce a set of Covid-19 prevention sigh boards soon, a Health Ministry spokesman said.He said the decision had been made during the Covid-19 Control Action Review Committee meeting at the Health Ministry auditorium on Thursday under the patronage of Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi.

At the meeting it was decided to make arrangements to display sign- boards under the theme, `Towards a new lifestyle’ in public places such as bus stands, railway stations, supermarkets, offices etc throughout the country, he said.

The committee will issue guidelines on wearing face masks and disinfecting public places under the instructions of health authorities. It was also decided to authorise Directors of Institutions where PCR Tests are done to obtain Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the staff to conduct the Tests in their institutions, he said.

The committee meets once every two days, and consists of 35 Consultant (specialist) doctors, medical administrators, SLAS officers etc, he added.
