The Cyber Security Centre of Sri Lanka Air Force said that, the websites of two government entities have come under a cyber attack this morning.
Earlier this month, five websites containing the domain name .lk and .com came under a cyber-attack.
Information Security Engineer of Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Readiness Team (SLCERT) Ravindu Meegasmulla said that cyber-attacks had taken place targeting the War Hero commemoration for the last couple of years and when compared to the last couple of years the impact caused by the attack this year is comparatively low. “SLCERT took several measures to prevent these attacks but we were only able to minimize the attack and its impact," he added.
