Lanka Hospitals Laboratories launched Sri Lanka’s first ‘drive-thru’ blood sample collection centre recently.
The sample collection process is within the premises of Lanka Hospital and will cater to one patient every 10 minutes, during full scale operations.
The innovative and timely set up of the drive-thru facility provides convenience to the patients by reducing their waiting-time for the overall sample collection process, and avoiding the hassle of parking by directly driving up to the assigned location, and have their specimens collected from the comfort of their vehicle.
This initiative facilitates social distancing. The unit deploys qualified skilled staff wearing personal protective equipment, for the safety of the patient and staff.
