Sri Lankan cricketer Kusal Mendis was arrested this morning following an accident in Panadura.
The cricketer had accidentally knocked down and killed a person at Horethuduwa in Panadura.
The accident had occurred at around 5am today and that the 64-year-old man had died in the accident.
The suspect will be produced before the Panadura Magistrates' court.
Panadura Police are conducting further investigations
