Cabinet approval has been granted to purchase four helicopters for the Sri Lanka Air Force for training purposes, Co-cabinet Spokesman Minister Dr.Ramesh Pathirana said.
Speaking at the Cabinet media briefing held today at the Government Information Department, Minister Pathirana said that the President on behalf of the Ministry of Defence presented a proposal to the Cabinet of Ministers to purchase four helicopters by calling competitive international tenders.
