Alexander, the Great

12 July, 2020

He is a great conqueror but death conquered him. We learn many lessons from this great warrior. He had three wishes when he died.

He wanted his physicians to carry his coffin to the grave to show that no doctor on earth can really cure anybody.

When his coffin was being carried to the grave, the path leading to the graveyard had to be strewn with gold, silver and precious stones which he had collected in his treasury to show the people that not even a fraction of gold will go with him. It is a sheer waste of time to chase after wealth.

Both his hands were kept dangling out of his coffin to let the people know that he came empty-handed to this world and leave this world empty handed.
