An umbrella

12 July, 2020

The word umbrella means little shade. So, the name tells us what it is for. An umbrella provides shade from the sun and shelter from rain. It has a handle and can be opened and shut. We open it when we go in the rain or sun and roll it up like a stick when we do not need it. In ancient times, the umbrella was a sign of high rank. In Burma only the king and great lords were allowed to use umbrellas.
