Pictures that will take you inside Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s workout wardrobe

Shilpa Shetty Kundra wears many hats—actor, mother-of-two, homemaker, entrepreneur, wellness aficionado and fitness enthusiast. The latter is a role she is probably as widely known for as she is for her 27-year-long movie career.

The actor as fit as they come. If you don’t believe us, just take one look at her Instagram feed. It’s clear that fitness is a lifestyle, not a passing trend, for this 45 year old—Kundra loves posting workout motivational truth bombs which she dubs #ShilpaKaMantra, has her own yoga and holistic wellness app called SS By Shilpa Shetty, and also launched a free e-book called The Magic Immunity Pill: Lifestyle with wellness guru Luke Coutinho this month.

So, whether Kundra is practicing side planks in the gym or backbends in her sea-facing garden, it’s clear that workouts are on the top of her self-care checklist. And along with investing in herself, the actor has also invested in an extensive workout wardrobe to keep her company.

As a fitting extension of the effervescent star’s personality, colour is a mainstay in it. She truly does love vivid prints. If you thought there was no place for floral prints in your gym bag, think again.

This yogi loves her head-to-toe floral sets when meditating and stretching out after a long day. Her most recent gymfie too has her in colour-blocked floral leggings with a black sports bra and hot pink sneakers. Then there was her Instagram live yoga session on International Yoga Day 2020 for which she wore a peach ‘Sunrise, Yoga, Vitamin Sea’ muscle tee with multi-coloured tights (topped off with an evil eye pendant and solitaire earrings).

And for her very first Pilates class at Sha Wellness in Spain last year, she chose a lemon yellow sports bra with tone-on-tone black and taupe leggings.  But just like a well-rounded fitness regime, balance is the key component of her workout wardrobe as well. In contrast to those look-at-me prints are deep solid colours too.

Such as the high-waisted blue tights with a powder blue sports bra Kundra wore for an intensive take on the surya namaskar. Solid black tights are aplenty too, but she adds visual appeal to them with sheer panels and crisscross detailing, pairing them with knotted or back cutout tees.
