There were several frauds in the Health Ministry during the past five years. “I will run this Ministry with transparency as I did in the past eight months”, Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi said. Minister Wanniarachchi said the United National Party (UNP) or any other party did not level any allegations against her during her 16- year tenure as a Cabinet Minister in various Ministries. “I have an unblemished political career”, she told the staff at the Health Ministry recently.
She said that every cent of public money will be spent for the betterment of the people with transparency. No room will be left to point fingers at anything.
