Kusal Mendis hammers 200

Kusal Mendis hammered an unbeaten double century as Colombo Cricket Club (CCC) overhauled NCC’s total of 467 as their Super Eight match ended in a draw at the P Sara Stadium yesterday.

Mendis was unbeaten on seven runs when his team resumed their first innings on the third and final day at 210 for 3. He hammered 24 fours and a six in making 200 not out as CCC reached 480 for 6 in the crucial match with both teams fighting for the top prize and one more match remaining.
