Ever since the coronavirus crisis set in, designers were forced to transform their business models to be reflective of the needs of the consumers in the new normal. Adapting from in-store retail to e-commerce was an important one for many. Some designers have taken this as opportunity to relaunch their websites with added features. If you're missing out on that retail therapy experience, get clicking on these newly-launched websites now.

2020 is a milestone year for Shantanu and Nikhil Mehra as they are celebrating their 20-year mark. The duo has not only launched S&N by Shantanu and Nikhil, a ready-to-wear label, but also unveiled their new e-commerce portal Shantanunikhil.com.

“Today, we have a platform where SAP integrated data and technology talk to each other in its quest to bring consumers closer to the brand and its overall experience as an omni channel network. We would continue to evolve around this vertical by further introducing artificial intelligence (AI) in order to make the consumer experience even more nuanced,” the designer duo tells us about their experience. The new portal will house both their couture pieces and the pret line, making it one-stop fashion destination that will solve your sartorial conundrums.

Raw Mango

Just in time for the festive season, Raw Mango has a new address shop.rawmango.com. The label ticks all the right boxes with their modern Indian wear separates that are perfect for any occasion. Whether you are in search of a silk sari for your best-friend’s lockdown wedding or simply need a kurta for Ganesh Chaturthi, Sanjay Garg’s will cater to all your needs. Featuring their signature silk lehengas, kurtas and jackets the new website also has elegant silk blouses and stoles for sale.

Kanika Goyal

After having her online presence felt from 2015-2017, Kanika Goyal’s label is back with a new website—Kglabel.com. “Having a website is super helpful during such times as we are able to stay connected to our customers and get direct sales,” says Goyal who is known for inquisitive tailoring and craftsmanship. The portal has the label’s latest spring/summer 2020 and autumn/winter 2019 collection, along with a must-have section that features their signature denim jackets, skirts and blouses. What’s more, the e-commerce platform also has a large variety of their recently launched face masks that will help you make a statement.

Tarun Tahiliani

After having been in the industry for 25 years, Tarun Tahiliani is ready to make his presence felt even more than before. The designer recently re-launched his e-commerce website, making it ideal fro shopping from the comfort of your homes. “In keeping with the times, we are exploring technology-led features such as virtual trial rooms and fittings as well. The most important thing being, that we have to cater to the practicalities of the times we live in. We also introduced certain incentives for new users/registration and expanded our customer database plus increased sale,” says Tarun Tahiliani.

Rahul Mishra

Ever considered taking the digital route while shopping couture for your big day? With a personalised consultation service on their brand new website, Rahul Mishra makes it seem like a good idea. The e-commerce store launched with Mishra’s latest couture collection features his signature womenswear and menswear ensembles, with most garments being made-to-order. “We strongly believe in offering a personalised retail experience to each of our clients. It is a belief that the person investing in our fashion goods must be made aware of the kind of craftsmanship that goes into the creation of a product along with the amount of their contribution that reaches the grass root level artisans directly. We hope to be able to tell our brand story directly through it, instead of it just being a portal for retail,” adds Mishra.
