The two Police Narcotics Bureau officers, who were arrested with fake currency notes, were ordered to be further remanded till September 14 by Colombo Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayaratna today.
The CID had earlier informed the court that they had taken into custody 32 illegal Rs.5000 notes from the possession of PNB officer W.Lakshan Sameera.
The two suspects were already in remand custody over an incident for maintaining links with big time illegal drug traffickers.
The Criminal Investigations Department said the currency notes had displayed the same fake number.
