Please join the Geoffrey Bawa Trust for the public opening of Dayanita Singh and Chandragupta Thenuwara’s installations as part of the The Gift series at Lunuganga.
For this event, please join us with artists Chandragupta Thenuwara and Dayanita Singh who will engage with visitors for a discussion of their work from 10 a.m. – noon. Installations by artists Dominic Sansoni, Lee Mingwei and Kengo Kuma will also be on view.
The gardens have always been a quiet source of generosity for those interested to draw from it. This year, as part of the artistic programme commemorating Geoffrey Bawa’s 100th birthday (Bawa 100), Lunuganga will reconnect with this energy to host a programme of installations by artists and makers from Sri Lanka and abroad, in a series where the garden is explored as a site of hospitality and a place of encounter. The installations will be on display from January 2020 – January 2021.
