"Unite against Coronavirus"

A ten-year-old Sri Lankan student of L.P.F. Academy, Dehiwala has brought Sri Lanka to the limelight by his achievement in an art competition organised by the Indian Cultural Council Relations.

Over 8,000 contestants around the world took part in this international art competition held under the theme, “Unite Against Coronavirus”.

The art titled “Let's Defeat Covid-19” presented by Master Sai Dhinakar Kouwshigan, the Sri Lankan student, won at the competition and his art was selected in the Sri Lankan category by an international panel of experts. The competition was held online and it was noteworthy that Sri Lanka had the third highest number of contestants in this international event. Master Sai Dhinakar Kouwshigan was awarded the cash prize and the certificate for his achievement by Dr. Revant Vikram Singh, Director, Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre of the Indian High Commission in Sri Lanka.

Sai Dhinakar conveyed his thanks for letting him enter this international art competition. Sai Dhinakar's art was quite significant among others due to its features of traditional Indian art, which he inherited from his father, Ramiah Kouwshigan, who is a veteran artist himself.
