Nine returnees tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday

The National Operation Centre for the Prevention of Covid-19 had identified nine positive cases by this morning.

All of them were those who had returned to the country from overseas.

Accordingly, Three from Kuwait who were housed at the Jetwing Blue quarantine centre and Rajagiriya Ayurvedic quarantine centre, one from Qatar who is housed at the hotel Amagi Arya quarantine centre, four from UAE who were housed at the Negombo Caroline Beach quarantine centre and Rajagiriya Ayurvedic quarantine centre and one Indian navy personnel were those who had tested positive for Covid-19 by this morning

Meanwhile, 11 persons who were undergoing the quarantine process at tri-forces operated quarantine centres were released  raising the total number of persons who had undergone quarantine at the military quarantine centres to 41,192.

Further, another 6,255 persons are currently in quarantine at 59 tri-forces operated quarantine centres.

According to the National Operation Centre for the Prevention of Covid-19, another 1810 PCR tests had been carried out on Monday raising the total number of PCR tests carried out to 257,477.

Another eleven COVID-19 positive patients who had made a complete recovery had been released from hospital by this morning.

They were those who had returned to the country from overseas and in quarantine.

Meanwhile, 638 persons from the Kandakadu rehabilitation identified with Covid have made a complete recovery and have been discharged from hospital. Accordingly, 11 more are receiving treatment in hospital.
